About Prebl and the Lavanttal
Prebl is a small municipality in Carinthia, the southernmost Austrian state, close to the Slovenian border. The Lavanttal valley runs north to south between the Koralpe and Saualpe ranges, and the area is known for rolling forested mountains, small farms and quiet villages. Altitude here is around 1400 metres at the hut, so the landscape feels much more alpine than the valley floor below.
