Krimml - WasserWelten
🇦🇹 Salzburg · Austria — Altitude 1097 m
This live view follows WasserWelten in Krimml, a village in the Salzburg province of Austria. The camera is aimed at the Krimml area, where the Krimml Waterfalls, among the highest in Europe, draw visitors through the Hohe Tauern valleys. Watch to judge water conditions and mountain weather before you travel.
Krimml sits at about 1,100 metres in the Upper Salzach valley, at the edge of the Hohe Tauern National Park. The village is best known for its three-tier waterfalls, fed by glacier meltwater and mountain streams that rush down the steep rock face. Forested slopes, alpine pastures and high peaks frame the settlement, and the air often feels cool and fresh even in summer.
The view centres on the mountain landscape and, depending on the angle, the falls and the surrounding slopes. Water flow tends to be strongest in late spring and early summer, when snowmelt peaks, and calmer in late summer and autumn. Mornings are often clearer, while afternoon cloud can build over the peaks quickly. Check the live picture and the weather block below before planning a walk.
Summers are mild and autumns are often crisp, while winters bring heavy snow to the valley. Late June to September is the usual time for hiking and waterfall walks, and sturdy shoes are advised on wet paths. Nearby cameras include the Zillertal Arena Filzstein view, the Filzsteinalm panorama, the Berggeistalm and the Hochkrimml FlyingCam, which give wider context on conditions in the region.
