About Telfs and the Inn valley
Telfs sits on the floor of the Upper Inn valley, a broad corridor between the Northern Limestone Alps and the Tyrolean hills, roughly 630 metres above sea level. It is the largest town in the Inntal district west of Innsbruck and has grown into a commuter and shopping hub. The surrounding landscape is a mix of farmland, forest and steep mountain slopes that rise quickly on both sides of the river.
