Tarrenz is a village in the Imst district of Tyrol, sitting on the sunny side of the Upper Inn valley between the Mieming plateau and the surrounding Alpine ridges. The area is known for its farmland, wooded slopes and access to hiking routes that climb toward the high peaks. The landscape changes quickly with altitude, so a camera at this height often shows a very different sky than the valley floor below.
Depending on the view, you may see open meadows, forest edges, distant ridgelines and the way cloud builds over the mountains through the day. Morning often brings the clearest air and the best light on the peaks, while afternoon thunderstorms are common in summer and can roll in quickly. Winter views depend on snow cover, and fog can sometimes sit in the valley while the camera stays above it.
Tarrenz has a mild, changeable Alpine climate, with warm summers and snowy winters, and late spring to early autumn is the most reliable time for hiking. Other cameras in the area include Nassereith Panorama about 5 km away, Puitalm at 10 km, and the Biberwier cameras at Berg and Mittelstation, roughly 11 to 12 km distant. Comparing them gives a fuller picture of conditions along the valley.
