Shahdag - Lift station 360°
🇦🇿 Qusar · Azerbaijan — Altitude 1659 m
This panoramic camera sits at a lift station in the Shahdag ski area, high in the Greater Caucasus above Qusar. The 360° view covers the slopes and the surrounding ridges, so you can judge the snow and the crowds before heading up. The page also shows local time and a three-day forecast for the resort.
Shahdag is a mountain resort in the Qusar district of northern Azerbaijan, at roughly 1,650 metres above sea level. It is the country's best-known winter sports destination and sits in the high ridges of the Greater Caucasus, close to the Russian border. The landscape is steep, rocky and open, with broad valleys falling away below the lifts. In summer the same slopes are used for hiking and mountain walks.
Because the camera is mounted at a lift station, the 360° view is mainly about the pistes, lift lines and the snow cover on the surrounding slopes. Mornings tend to be the quietest time, when the groomed runs are freshest and queues are short. Afternoons are useful for checking visibility, since cloud and wind can roll over the ridges quickly. Exact conditions depend on the view and the season.
The ski season usually runs through the colder months, when snow is most reliable at this altitude; the best times to ride are often mid-winter and early spring. Winters are cold and snowy, while summers are mild at this height. Getting there involves a mountain road from Qusar, so check conditions before travelling. Other cameras at the resort, including the Lift station and Alpine Horizon views, show nearby slopes, and a mountain station view in Qabala covers a neighbouring area about 40 km away.
The stream is embedded with a link to its source, and the weather and local time above update on their own. Use the view together with the forecast to plan your day on the mountain. Conditions can change within an hour, so check again before you leave.
