This live view looks toward the roadstead at Hamilton, the capital of Bermuda. Ships, ferries and the moods of the Atlantic are the main things to follow here. Open the page to see the live stream beside current weather and the local time.
Hamilton sits on the north shore of Bermuda, an island group in the western Atlantic roughly a thousand kilometres off the coast of North Carolina. The city is small and compact, built around a sheltered harbour that has long served as the centre of island trade and government. Pastel-painted buildings, limestone and a relaxed pace give the waterfront its character, and the sea is never far away.
Because the view is centred on the roadstead, movement on the water is the thing to follow. Depending on the view, you may see passing vessels, ferries crossing between the city and the wider islands, and changing light on the water. Mid-morning and late afternoon often give the clearest light, while cloud and passing showers change the colour of the sea quickly.
Bermuda has a mild subtropical climate, with warm, humid summers and cooler, drier winters. Hurricane season runs from June to November, so check the forecast on this page before planning travel. Nearby on the island you can also open the Pembroke camera about a kilometre away, and the CahowCam view from Nonsuch Island in St. David's Parish.
