This live stream looks out over Vancouver, the largest city on Canada's Pacific coast in British Columbia. It is a useful way to see how the city looks right now and whether the Pacific weather is clearing or turning grey. The page also shows local time and the forecast beside the player.
Vancouver sits on a peninsula between mountains and the sea, with the Burrard Inlet to its north and the Fraser River delta to its south. The city is known for its glass towers set against forested hills, its seawall path around Stanley Park, and its strong outdoor culture. Its waterfront neighbourhoods mix marinas, parks and busy harbour traffic, which gives the skyline a very different character from most North American cities.
The view is a city webcam, so the most interesting moments tend to be clear mornings when the mountains behind the city are visible, and the early evening when lights come on along the water. Rain and cloud are common on this coast, especially in autumn and winter, and they can change the view quickly. Depending on the angle, you may see boats moving through the harbour or the city traffic below.
Vancouver has a mild, wet climate. Summers are dry and pleasant, usually from July to September, while winters are cool and rainy. Nearby VizCams cameras include McLennan Marina, Deep Cove, Seymour Resort and a cruise ship and city panorama view, which together give a wider picture of the region's coast and mountains.
