About Cabourg

Cabourg sits on the English Channel in Calvados, with a long sandy beach, a promenade lined with belle époque hotels and a casino. The town was a favourite of the writer Marcel Proust, who spent summers here and later renamed it Balbec in his novels. Its gentle, wide-open seafront gives it a relaxed, traditional resort character that changes noticeably between seasons.
