This camera watches a busy road junction in Sleman, a regency on the northern edge of Yogyakarta city in Central Java's neighbouring special region. It is useful for seeing how traffic is moving before you set out. The feed is provided by the Yogyakarta provincial government.

About Sleman and the Area

Sleman lies on the slopes and plains north of Yogyakarta, shaped by the volcanic landscape of Mount Merapi. It is home to major universities, temples such as Prambanan nearby, and a mix of residential neighbourhoods and rice fields. Bantulan sits along the main routes linking the city with the wider regency, so it is a typical working junction of everyday Javanese life.

What the Camera Shows

As a traffic camera, the view is focused on vehicles, motorbikes and pedestrians at the crossing. Activity is usually heaviest during morning and late afternoon commuting hours and on weekdays. Depending on the angle, you may also notice the street rhythm of local shops and roadside stalls. Rain can build up quickly in the afternoon, so conditions may change within minutes.

Practical Notes for Visitors

The region has a tropical climate with warm temperatures year round and a wet season from roughly November to March. The dry months from May to September are generally the most comfortable for travel. Traffic in Sleman can be slow at peak hours, so allow extra time when heading to the airport or city centre. Nearby cameras on this site cover other junctions in the same district.
