This live stream looks over a street-side monument in Moyudan, Sleman, a district on the northern edge of Yogyakarta. It is useful for seeing current traffic, roadside activity and the weather before heading into the city. The page adds local time and a forecast beside the video.

About Sleman and Moyudan

Sleman is a regency that surrounds much of the city of Yogyakarta on the island of Java. Moyudan lies in its rural and semi-urban belt, where rice fields, village houses and small roads mix with growing residential areas. The region sits at a modest elevation, close to the slopes of Mount Merapi to the north, and is known as a gateway to Javanese culture, temples and the historic centre of Yogyakarta.

What the camera shows and when

The camera is a roadside view in a town setting, so the most lively moments tend to be during morning and late afternoon traffic, when commuters, scooters and local vendors are most active. Midday brings heat and slower movement. Depending on the view, you may also notice rain clouds building in the afternoon, which is typical during the wet season.

Climate and getting around

Yogyakarta has a tropical climate with warm temperatures year round. The dry season from roughly May to October is generally the most comfortable time to visit, while November to March brings frequent rain. Nearby cameras in the same network, including Sumberrahayu and Puskesmas Moyudan Selatan and Utara, cover other points in the district if you want to compare conditions.
