Galil Elyon Regional Council - LIVE Hula Nature Reserve Bird 1|Israel Nature & Parks Auth.|Charter Group of Wildlife Ecol
🇮🇱 Northern District · Israel — Altitude 74 m
This live stream follows a bird viewing spot inside the Hula Nature Reserve in the Galil Elyon area of northern Israel. It is a place for watching wetland and woodland birds rather than a general landscape view. Check the stream to see whether birds are active, then use the weather and time blocks below to plan a visit.
The Hula Valley lies in the northern Jordan Rift, a flat basin of marsh, lake and farmland framed by the Galilee hills. For much of the twentieth century the wetlands were drained, and the reserve was later created to restore part of the original lake and marsh ecosystem. It sits on one of the main migration routes between Africa and Eurasia, which is why the valley is so well known among birders. Altitude here is only about 74 metres above sea level.
The title identifies this as a bird camera, so the feed is most likely aimed at a feeding or watching area used by birds of the valley. Depending on the view, you may see waterbirds, herons, or smaller songbirds moving through reeds and trees. Activity is usually higher in the early morning and late afternoon, and the autumn and spring migration periods are typically the busiest times. Midday in summer can be quiet as birds rest in the shade.
The valley has a Mediterranean-influenced climate with hot, dry summers and mild, wetter winters. Spring and autumn are generally the most comfortable seasons for walking the reserve. Tiberias is about 33 kilometres away and is a common base for visitors, while Haifa is roughly 65 kilometres to the west. The Hula Park camera, about 4 kilometres away, is a useful companion view of the same valley landscape.
Other live views in the wider region include the Hula Park camera and the Ramat Hanadiv bird camera further south. Comparing them can help you see how bird activity changes between sites in the same region and weather conditions.
