This live camera looks out over Santa Cesarea Terme, a spa village on the Salento coast of Apulia in southern Italy. Use it to see the sea and town conditions before you travel or to follow the weather in this part of the Ionian and Adriatic shoreline.
Santa Cesarea Terme sits on the eastern edge of the Salento peninsula, where the heel of Italy meets the Adriatic. It is known for its thermal sulphur waters, which have drawn visitors for well over a century, and for the grand early twentieth century villas along its seafront. The coastline is a mix of low limestone cliffs, small coves and rocky bathing spots, giving the village a relaxed, traditional character.
The camera is listed as a general view of the town, so the exact framing is best judged on the live stream itself. Depending on the view, you may see the seafront, the sea and the sky above it. The stream is most useful in the morning and late afternoon, when the light on the water is clearest and the coast is quietest. Summer weekends bring more people and boats along the shore.
The area has hot, dry summers and mild winters, and the sea is warmest from late July to September. Late spring and early autumn are often the most comfortable months for walking the coast. The village is reachable by road from Lecce and Otranto, and nearby cameras on this site cover Gallipoli, Santa Maria al Bagno, Don Pablo beach and Porto Cesareo.
