Obereggen - Reiterjoch 2030 m.
🇮🇹 Trentino-South Tyrol · Italy
This live camera looks out from the Reiterjoch pass area above Obereggen, a ski and hiking village in the Dolomites of South Tyrol. It is useful for judging snow cover, cloud and visibility on the high ridges before you travel. The stream is embedded from its owner and shown here with the current weather and local time.
Obereggen sits in the Val d'Ega area of the Trentino-South Tyrol region, a short drive from Bolzano and the Carezza lake district. It is known as a winter sports base with a network of lifts that link into the wider Latemar ski area. In summer the same slopes are used for hiking and mountain biking, and the open high ground around the pass gives wide views across the dolomite peaks.
The camera is a mountain-category view, so the picture depends heavily on weather. On clear mornings the ridges are usually easiest to read, while afternoon cloud often builds quickly in summer. In winter, watch for fresh snow and whether the pistes look groomed. Conditions can change within an hour, so a recent check is more reliable than the previous day.
The Dolomites have cool summers and cold, snowy winters, and high passes can stay windy even when the valley is calm. Late June to September suits walking, and January to March suits skiing. Nearby cameras at Pampeago, Passo Feudo and Pala di Santa show other points of the same ski and hiking network, which helps you compare conditions across the area.
