Corvara - Piz Arlara
🇮🇹 Trentino-South Tyrol · Italy
This live camera looks out over Corvara, a village in the Dolomites of South Tyrol, toward the Piz Arlara area. It is useful for checking the mountain conditions and light before planning a walk, a ski day or a drive over the passes. The page also shows the local time and current weather for the valley.
Corvara sits in the Alta Badia valley at roughly 1,500 metres, surrounded by the pale limestone peaks of the Dolomites, which are part of the UNESCO World Heritage list. The valley is Ladin-speaking, and its villages share a strong alpine character with wooden farmhouses, meadows and church spires. The surrounding peaks are known for dramatic rock faces that change colour noticeably from dawn to dusk.
The title names Piz Arlara, so the view is centred on mountain terrain rather than village streets. Depending on the angle, you may see ridges, slopes and cloud movement over the peaks. Early morning and late afternoon are usually the most interesting times, when low sun brings out the rock colours. Weather changes quickly in the mountains, so watching for a few minutes shows how the sky is developing.
Summers are mild and good for hiking, while winters bring reliable snow and the ski areas of the Sella Ronda circuit. Spring and autumn can be quieter but also less predictable. Other cameras in the area include Badia II on Piz La Ila Moritzino, La Villa on Piz La Ila, San Cassiano on Piz Sorega and Corvara on Boé, which together give a wider picture of the valley.
