Ciudad Juárez - Transmisión en vivo Puente Internacional Lerdo (Fila)
🇲🇽 Chihuahua · Mexico — Altitude 1131 m
This live camera looks at the Lerdo International Bridge, one of the crossings linking Ciudad Juárez with El Paso, Texas, across the Rio Grande. It is useful for checking traffic flow at the border and seeing the city and river valley in real time. The page also shows local time and current weather for the area.
Ciudad Juárez sits on the Mexican bank of the Rio Grande, directly across from El Paso. It is one of Mexico's largest border cities, known for its manufacturing industry, its rapid growth and its close economic ties with the United States. The Lerdo bridge is one of several vehicle and pedestrian links that make the two cities function almost as one metropolitan area. The surrounding landscape is dry Chihuahuan desert, framed by mountain ranges on the horizon.
The camera is most informative during the morning and late afternoon rush, when traffic at the crossing is heaviest and queues are easiest to judge. Depending on the view, you may also notice the river, the bridge approaches and the urban skyline on either side. Clear winter days usually give the sharpest view of the surrounding mountains, while dust and heat haze can soften the image in summer.
Ciudad Juárez has a hot semi-arid climate, with very hot summers and mild, sunny winters. Spring and autumn are generally the most comfortable seasons for a visit. The city lies at about 1,130 metres above sea level. Nearby cameras on this site cover El Paso, Fabens, Tornillo and Cloudcroft, which together give a wider picture of the region.
