Kompleks beskid spytkowice - widok z górnej stacji

🇵🇱 Lesser Poland · Poland — Altitude 623 m

Local time UTC+1Checked 0 viewsHDOther

This live camera looks out from the upper station of the Beskid Spytkowice ski complex in the Lesser Poland region of southern Poland. It is useful for checking how the slopes and surrounding mountain ridges look before you travel. The page also shows local time and the current weather with a three-day forecast.

About the place

Spytkowice lies in the Beskid Mały range of the Western Carpathians, a region of forested ridges, meadows and small villages. The Beskids are popular with hikers and cyclists in summer and with skiers in winter, mostly because the slopes are short, easy to reach from Kraków and well suited to families. The landscape is gentle rather than dramatic, with views that open across valleys and lower peaks.

What the camera shows

The view comes from a station high on the hill, so the picture is mainly about the sky, the open slopes and the distant ridges. Depending on the season, you may see snow cover, bare winter slopes, green summer meadows or autumn colours in the forests. Early mornings and clear afternoons tend to give the sharpest views of the ridgelines, and low cloud or haze can hide the valley for much of the day.

Practical notes

The Beskids have a mountain climate, with cold, snowy winters and mild, showery summers. Late spring and early autumn are often the quietest and most comfortable times for walking. Several other cameras in the Zawoja area, including Mosorny Groń, are within about 18 kilometres, which can help you compare conditions across the range before you set out.
