Wrocław - widok na Stare Miasto
🇵🇱 Lower Silesia · Poland — Altitude 124 m
This live camera looks out over the historic centre of Wrocław, the largest city in Lower Silesia in western Poland. It is a useful way to see the city's rooftops and skyline without leaving home. The page also shows local time and the current weather for Wrocław.
Wrocław sits on the Odra river and is known for its many bridges, islands and canals. Its Old Town is built around a large market square and a patchwork of Gothic and Baroque buildings, many of them rebuilt after the Second World War. The city is also famous for its bronze dwarf statues scattered through the centre. The surrounding landscape is flat, which gives the skyline an open, spacious feel.
The view is most interesting in the morning and late afternoon, when low sun brings out the colours of the façades and the church towers. Depending on the framing and the weather, you may notice river light, changing cloud cover and the rhythm of the city below. Clear days in spring and autumn tend to give the sharpest views, while winter can bring fog or snow that softens the outline of the roofs.
Wrocław has a temperate continental climate with warm summers and cold, often grey winters. The most pleasant months for a visit are usually May to September. The compact centre is easy to explore on foot, and the nearby Wrocław Panorama camera and other Lower Silesian views are listed on this page for comparison.
