🇵🇱 Silesian Voivodeship · Poland — Altitude 727 m
This live camera looks out from Góra Żar, a hill in the Beskid Mały range near Bielsko-Biała in southern Poland. It is a useful place to check the mountain weather and visibility before heading up into the hills. The stream is shown below with local time and conditions.
Góra Żar rises to about 727 metres above sea level in the Beskid Mały, part of the Western Beskids in the Silesian Voivodeship. The range is forested and gentle compared with the high Tatras, with wide meadows, ski slopes and marked walking trails. The area is popular with hikers, cyclists and paragliders, and it sits above the town of Bielsko-Biała, which gives it a clear view across the valleys.
Because the camera points at a hilltop, it is most useful for judging cloud cover, fog and haze over the ridges. Conditions can change quickly up here, so watching the view before a walk helps you decide whether to go. Early mornings often bring clearer air, while late afternoon in summer can bring build-up clouds. Depending on the view, you may see the lower station of the ski area and the surrounding forest.
Summers are mild and autumns are often clear, while winters bring snow that suits skiing and winter walks. Spring can be wet and changeable. The hill is reachable by road and trails from Bielsko-Biała. Other cameras nearby include the view towards Kozubnik, the lower station view and a panoramic view of the Beskids, which show the same range from different angles.
