This live camera looks out over Jezioro Rybnickie, a reservoir in the Silesian Voivodeship of southern Poland. It suits anyone wanting to see how the water and shoreline look right now, or planning a day trip from the nearby cities. The live player, local time and weather are all shown on this page.
Jezioro Rybnickie lies in the Rybnik area, in the upland and lowland landscape of southern Poland at roughly 220 metres above sea level. The region grew around coal mining and heavy industry, and today the lakes and reservoirs are among its main places for rest and outdoor activity. The water, the surrounding woods and fields give the area a calmer character than the cities nearby.
The view shows the lake and its surroundings as they are at the moment. Calm mornings often bring mist and still water, while afternoons tend to bring more movement on the surface and people on the shore. Interest changes with the season: green foliage in summer, bare trees and changing light in autumn, and ice or snow in winter, depending on the view and conditions at the time.
Southern Poland has warm summers and cold, often snowy winters, so spring and early autumn are comfortable for walking and cycling around the water. Rybnik is the main town for accommodation and transport, and the nearby cameras in Racibórz, Orlová and Karviná show other spots in the same part of the region. Check the weather block on this page before planning a trip.
