Slănic-Moldova - Piste de Slanic Moldova
🇷🇴 Bacău County · Romania — Altitude 422 m
This live camera looks at the ski piste in Slănic-Moldova, a small spa town in the Carpathian foothills of Bacău County. It is useful for checking whether the slope is covered and how conditions look before you travel. The page also shows local time and the weather forecast for the town.
Slănic-Moldova sits in the Trotuș valley on the eastern side of the Carpathians, at about 420 metres above sea level. It is best known as a salt and mineral-water spa, with healing traditions going back to the nineteenth century. The surrounding hills are forested and gentle, which makes the town a quiet base for winter sports and walking in the countryside.
The camera is aimed at the ski piste, so it is mainly useful for judging snow cover and visibility on the slope. Snow is most visible in the morning light and in clear weather, while fog or low cloud often hides the lower part of the run. Check the live view before setting out, since conditions can change quickly in mountain weather.
Winters are cold and snowy, with reliable snow usually from December to February, while summers are warm and suitable for hiking. Spring and autumn can be changeable. The nearby Nemira camera and the Târgu Ocna salt mine camera, about 12 km away, give a wider picture of the area. Bacău, roughly 50 km north, is the nearest larger city for transport.
