This live camera looks out over Mamaia, the long sandy resort strip on the Black Sea coast near Constanța. It is useful for checking how the beach and sea look before you travel or head down for the day.
Mamaia is a narrow spit of land that separates Lake Siutghiol from the Black Sea, just north of Constanța in Romania's Dobrogea region. It is the country's best-known seaside resort, lined with hotels, beach clubs and sandy beaches that stretch for kilometres. The atmosphere is lively in summer and much quieter outside the main season.
Depending on the view, you may see the beach, the promenade and the sea surface, which show quickly how busy the coast is and what the wind is doing. Mornings often bring calmer water, while afternoons in summer tend to be busiest. Clear days give the best visibility, and the view changes noticeably with the weather.
Summers are warm and sunny, and the sea is at its warmest from July to August. Spring and autumn are milder and suit walking along the shore. Constanța is nearby and well connected by road and rail, and the cameras listed below show other points along the same coast.
