Alfabia

🇪🇸 Balearic Islands · Spain — Altitude 1005 m

Local time UTC+1Checked 3,625 viewsHDMountains

This live camera looks out over Alfabia, a mountain location in the Serra de Tramuntana on Mallorca. It is useful for seeing how the high ground looks right now, whether cloud is sitting on the ridges, and how clear the air is before you plan a walk or drive up into the hills.

About Alfabia

Alfabia sits in the northwest of Mallorca, in the Tramuntana range that runs along the island's western coast. The area is known for its limestone peaks, terraced valleys, dry stone walls and the historic Alfabia estate with its gardens. At roughly 1,000 metres above sea level the air is noticeably cooler than on the coast, and the views often open onto wide folds of hills and distant sea.

What the camera shows

The camera is a mountain view, so the picture is shaped mainly by weather and light rather than by activity. Depending on the view, you may see sunlight moving across the slopes in the morning, clouds gathering around the peaks in the afternoon, or fog settling in the valleys. Mornings after a clear night tend to give the sharpest visibility, while cloud and haze are common at other times.

Climate and getting around

Mallorca has mild winters and warm, dry summers, though the mountains are cooler and can be windy. Spring and autumn are often the most comfortable months for walking in the Tramuntana. Bunyola and Sóller are close by and can be useful reference points, and Palma de Mallorca lies about 19 km away for travel and services. Check the live weather on this page before setting out.
