About Laax
Laax sits in the Surselva valley at about 1,100 metres above sea level, between the Vorderrhein river and the mountains of the Flims-Laax-Falera ski area. The village is best known as a winter sports centre with a strong snowboard culture and a large network of lifts. In summer the same valley is used for hiking, mountain biking and lake swimming, and the surrounding peaks are easy to reach by cable car.
