Mölltaler Gletscher - Arrivée de la télécabine Eissee - vue vers le sud-ouest
🇦🇹 Carinthia · Austria — Altitude 2800 m
This live view looks southwest from the arrival station of the Eissee cable car on the Mölltaler Gletscher, a glacier ski area at about 2800 metres in Carinthia. It is useful for judging snow, cloud and visibility before you ride up. The stream is provided by its owner and embedded here with a link to the source.
The Mölltaler Gletscher sits in the high Hohe Tauern range of southern Austria, on the Carinthian side of the main Alpine ridge. It is one of the larger glacier ski areas in the region and is known for reliable snow in winter and for skiing that can continue into spring. The surroundings are rocky ridges, snowfields and glacier terrain, with the scale and silence typical of high alpine country.
Depending on the view, the camera may show skiers and snowboarders arriving at the lift station, lift traffic and the snow surface around the terminal. Weather changes quickly at this altitude, so the view is most informative in the morning, when cloud is often lower and visibility is clearer, and after fresh snowfall. Watching it for a few minutes can tell you a lot about conditions.
Winter is the main season for skiing here, while summer often brings cooler, changeable weather at height, so layers are sensible at any time of year. The area is served by several cameras, including the Klühspies Panoramabahn station, the Schareck view, the Alteck lift arrival and the Goldbergkees view toward the Hoher Sonnblick. Check the live weather on this page before setting out.
