This is a live feed from Vsetín, a town in the foothills of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids. The camera is a test stream, so the picture may change or pause without notice. It is useful if you want to check conditions in the town before travelling.

About Vsetín

Vsetín lies on the Vsetínská Bečva river in eastern Czechia, in a valley surrounded by forested hills of the Beskydy range. The town has long been associated with wood and metal industries and with traditional Wallachian culture, which still shows in local festivals and folk crafts. Its setting makes it a common starting point for walks into the surrounding mountains.

What you can watch

Because this is a test stream, the content and framing may vary from one session to the next. Viewers usually look for the state of the sky, the light on the surrounding hills and general conditions in town. Mornings and late afternoons often show the most contrast on the slopes, though this depends on the season and the weather that day.

Practical notes

Vsetín has a continental climate with warm summers and cold, snowy winters, and the valley can hold fog in autumn and early spring. Spring and early autumn are pleasant for hiking nearby. Nearby cameras in Zubří and Zašová show other parts of the region, including a panorama and an astronomical clock in Zašová.
