La Plagne - Bergerie
🇫🇷 Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes · France — Altitude 2165 m
This live view looks out over the La Plagne ski area in the French Alps, at an altitude of about 2,165 metres. It is useful for checking snow and sky conditions before heading up the mountain, or simply for seeing how the resort looks today.
La Plagne is one of the large ski areas of the Tarentaise valley in Savoie, part of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. It was built in the 1960s as a purpose-designed resort, with linked slopes that connect to the wider Paradiski network. The landscape is high alpine terrain of open pistes, larch and spruce woods and rocky ridges, and the atmosphere is that of a working winter mountain town.
The camera is titled Bergerie, so it is aimed at one area of the resort rather than a town square. Depending on the view, you may see pistes, lift lines and the mountain slopes around them. The picture is most useful in clear morning light, when snow cover and cloud are easiest to judge, and on winter weekends when the slopes are busiest.
Winters are cold and snowy, with the main ski season running from December to April, while summer brings hiking and mountain biking on the same terrain. Nearby cameras include La Plagne Colorado, about 1 km away, and Courchevel Hôtel Les Flocons, around 10 km distant, which help you compare conditions across the valley. Mountain weather can change quickly, so check the forecast on this page before travelling.
