La Plagne - Colorado
🇫🇷 Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes · France — Altitude 1993 m
This live camera looks out over the Colorado area of La Plagne, one of the large ski domains in the French Alps. It is useful for checking how the snow and light look on the slopes right now. The page also shows local time and the current weather at the resort.
La Plagne is a purpose-built ski resort in the Tarentaise valley of Savoie, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. It sits at roughly 2,000 metres and is part of the wider Paradiski network linked with Les Arcs. The resort grew out of 1960s planning, so its villages are arranged around pistes and lifts rather than old town centres. The surrounding peaks give it a wide alpine outlook.
The title names a Colorado slope, which suggests a view over a marked piste with lifts and skiers when conditions allow. Views like this are most interesting in clear winter mornings, when the snow is freshly groomed, and in the late afternoon light. In spring and summer, the same angle may show bare slopes and the green of mountain pastures. Fog or cloud can cover the view for long periods, so the live weather block is worth checking alongside the picture.
The ski season runs roughly from December to April, with the best snow usually in January and February. Outside winter, the area is popular for hiking and mountain biking. Nearby cameras on this site include La Plagne Bergerie, a view at Aime, Courchevel and Les Arcs Vagère, which help you compare conditions across the valley. Expect cold temperatures at altitude even on sunny days, and check the forecast before setting out.
