Calvi - Aéroport
🇫🇷 Corsica · France — Altitude 58 m
This live camera looks out over Calvi Airport, the gateway to the northwest coast of Corsica. Watch arrivals and departures, the apron and the runway as conditions change through the day. It is useful for anyone checking whether flights are operating in real time.
Calvi sits on a sheltered bay on the northwest side of Corsica, a French island in the Mediterranean. The old citadel above the harbour and the long sandy beaches of the surrounding coast make it one of the island's best-known resorts. The landscape mixes granite headlands, maquis scrub and olive groves, and the mountains rise quickly just inland.
The title names the airport, so the view centres on the airfield and its surroundings rather than the town. Early morning and late afternoon usually bring the clearest light and the most activity, while summer afternoons can be hazy with heat. Wind is worth watching here, since it affects landings on the coastal approach.
Calvi has a mild Mediterranean climate, with hot dry summers and mild, wetter winters. The shoulder seasons of late spring and early autumn are often the most pleasant for walking and swimming. Nearby cameras cover L'Île-Rousse, Porto and Cargèse, and Bastia Poretta is the main airport for the island's east side.
