This live stream looks over the southern parking area near the Imogiri royal cemetery in Bantul, on the edge of Yogyakarta on Java. It is useful for seeing traffic and visitor activity before you travel up the hill. The page also shows local time and the current weather with a short forecast.
Imogiri sits on low hills south of Yogyakarta, a few kilometres inland from the Indian Ocean coast. It is best known for the Imogiri royal mausoleum, the burial site of Mataram sultans, reached by a long flight of stone steps through the trees. The landscape is a mix of rice fields, village houses and limestone ridges typical of this part of central Java, with a relaxed, devout atmosphere around the complex.
The title points to the parking area at the southern approach, so the view is mainly of the road, vehicles and people arriving for the visit. Depending on the angle, you may see the start of the approach and the tourist traffic around it. Activity tends to be busiest in the morning and on weekends and public holidays, while early afternoon can be quieter and hotter.
Yogyakarta has a tropical climate with a wet season from roughly November to March and a drier period from April to October, which is generally the more comfortable time to visit. Dress modestly for the cemetery and carry water for the climb. Other cameras nearby include the Imogiri mosque view, the middle staircase view, Mangunan viewpoint and Manding, which give a wider picture of the area.)
