The player below shows the stream in HD together with the local time and weather.

About Cervinia and the valley

Cervinia is a high mountain resort in the Aosta Valley, close to the Swiss border and the famous Matterhorn. The village sits in a wide glacial basin where larch and pine forests give way to bare rock and snow fields. The valley of Valtournenche runs down from here toward the town of Chatillon, and the whole area is shaped by glaciers, steep ridges and open high pastures that feel very different from the lower Aosta Valley towns.

What the camera shows and when

The camera is aimed at the mountain landscape around Cervinia, so the view depends heavily on weather and season. Clear mornings often give the sharpest outlines of the peaks, while afternoon clouds frequently build over the ridges. In winter the slopes are white and the stream is most often watched for snow conditions, and in summer the greens of the meadows make a stronger contrast with the rock. Sunrise and sunset can bring warm light onto the faces of the mountains.

Practical notes and nearby cameras

Cervinia has a continental-alpine climate, with cold winters and cool summers, and high-altitude weather can change within an hour. Summer is the usual time for hiking and cable car rides, while the ski season runs from December into spring. Other cameras nearby include the Seggiovia Goillet view in Breuil-Cervinia, the Matterhorn view and the Plateau Rosa camera, which can help you compare conditions across the area.
