About Bruneck and Kronplatz
Bruneck is the main town of the Pustertal valley in the Italian province of South Tyrol, where German and Italian are both spoken. Kronplatz, known locally as Plan de Corones, rises to the north-east of the town and is one of the largest ski areas in the Dolomites. The landscape mixes wide alpine meadows, forests and bare limestone ridges, with the town lying below in the valley floor.
