About Ulten Valley
Ulten is a long, quiet valley branching off the Adige near Meran, in the Italian province of South Tyrol. It is known for its forests, alpine meadows, farms and the glacier-fed Falschauer river. The valley sits between steep slopes and high peaks, so the landscape changes quickly with altitude. Villages are small and traditional, and much of daily life still follows the rhythm of farming and tourism.
