Witów-ski - górna stacja
🇵🇱 Lesser Poland · Poland — Altitude 967 m
This live camera looks out from the upper station of the Witów-ski ski area, high in the Gorce region of southern Poland. It is useful for seeing how the slopes look right now and whether the snow cover and visibility are good enough for a day on the piste. The page also gives the local weather and time so you can plan the trip in one place.
Witów-ski sits in the Gorce mountains in Lesser Poland, a range of wooded ridges and meadows south of Nowy Targ and close to the Slovak border. The upper station stands at roughly 967 metres above sea level, which is high enough to hold snow for much of the winter. The area is best known as a family-friendly ski destination with a mix of gentle runs and steeper pistes, and it feels far quieter than the big resorts in the Tatras.
The camera is aimed at the upper station, so the view is most likely to reflect the top of the slopes, the lift area and the surrounding ridge line, depending on the angle at the time. Watching early in the morning is useful for judging fresh snow and grooming, while midday often shows the best light and the most skiers. Weather can change quickly at this altitude, so cloud, mist and falling snow are worth keeping an eye on.
Winters in the Gorce are cold and snowy, with the main season usually running from December to March, and the best skiing tends to come after a fresh snowfall in January and February. Spring brings thaw and shorter runs, while summer and autumn are better for hiking in the surrounding hills. Nearby, the Meander resort in Oravice on the Slovak side and its thermal baths are both within a few kilometres, and their cameras are linked from this page.
