Queralbs - Refuge de Coma de Vaca
🇪🇸 Catalonia · Spain — Altitude 2000 m
This camera looks out from the Refuge de Coma de Vaca at about 2,000 metres above Queralbs, in the Ter valley of the Catalan Pyrenees. It suits anyone planning a walk or ski day in the area, or simply curious about mountain conditions before setting out. The live player, local time and forecast are all on this page.
Queralbs is a small village in the upper Ter valley of Girona province, Catalonia, surrounded by the high ridges of the Pyrenees. The valley is known for its rail link to the Vall de Núria sanctuary, its forests and its network of mountain paths. Coma de Vaca sits high above the village, where the landscape turns to open alpine terrain, rock and meadow. Views and weather change quickly at this altitude.
The stream is a mountain view, so what you see depends on the exact framing and on the weather. Clear mornings tend to give the sharpest visibility, while afternoon cloud often builds over the peaks. In winter, snow cover and skiers on the nearby slopes are common subjects. Autumn brings colour to the lower slopes and is a good season to check whether paths are clear.
Summers are mild and pleasant in the valleys but can be cool and windy on the heights, so bring layers. Winters are cold with regular snow. Other cameras in the area include Vallter 2000 Marmotes and Pla de Morens, as well as the Vall de Núria cameras at the Cremallera tunnel and Mirador de la Canal. Compare them to choose the most useful view before you travel.
