🇨🇭 Bern · Switzerland — Altitude 1895 m
This camera looks out from the Höchstbahn area above Adelboden, a ski and hiking village in the Bernese Oberland. The live player shows mountain conditions as they change through the day. It is useful for checking snow, cloud and visibility before planning a trip.
Adelboden sits in a broad valley of the Bernese Oberland at about 1,350 metres, surrounded by steep alpine meadows and peaks. It is best known as a winter sports resort and hosts the Men's World Cup slalom each January. In summer the same slopes are crossed by hiking trails, and cable cars link the village with higher terrain. The traditional wooden chalets give the village its character.
The camera is positioned at mountain height, so its view depends heavily on weather. On clear days you may see long ridges, snowfields in winter and green pastures in summer. Cloud often rolls in during the afternoon, so mornings tend to offer the clearest views. Early hours in winter are good for watching fresh snow and the sun reaching the peaks.
Adelboden is reached by road from Frutigen or by postbus through the Engstligen valley. Winter is the peak season for skiing, while June to September suits hiking. Nearby cameras include Sillerenbühl, Engstligenalp and Metschstand in the Simmental, which can help you compare conditions across the region. Conditions at altitude can change quickly, so check the live weather block before heading out.
