Verbier - Restaurant Le Carrefour
🇨🇭 Valais · Switzerland — Altitude 1755 m
This live camera looks out over a busy Verbier spot at the Le Carrefour restaurant, one of the resort's well-known meeting points in the Swiss Alps. It is useful for checking snow and street conditions before heading up the mountain. The page also shows local weather and time so you can plan your day at a glance.
Verbier is a mountain village in the Val de Bagnes, in the canton of Valais, at about 1,755 metres above sea level. It is one of the largest ski resorts in Switzerland and is known for its steep off-piste terrain, its lively nightlife and its position within the wider Four Valleys ski area. The village sits among larch and pine forests, with the Mont Fort and Bec des Rosses ridges rising above it. In summer it attracts hikers and mountain bikers, and the air is noticeably thinner and cooler than in the valley below.
The view is a traffic-oriented camera at a central village location, so the most useful things to follow are the movement of skiers and pedestrians, the state of the road and the amount of fresh snow on the ground. Mornings usually bring the first lift queues and the clearest light, while late afternoon can show the shadows lengthening over the slopes. Conditions can change quickly with mountain weather, so the live feed is most helpful when you check it shortly before setting out.
Verbier has a winter-dominant climate with cold, snowy months from December to March and mild, sunny summers that suit walking and cycling. Reaching the resort usually means driving up from the Rhône valley or taking the regional bus connections from Martigny, with the road often needing winter tyres or chains in snowy weather. Other cameras in the resort, including Medran, Chez Dany, Les Attelas and Croix de Cœur, are only a few kilometres away and show different parts of the village and its slopes.
