Verbier - Mont Fort
🇨🇭 Valais · Switzerland — Altitude 3328 m
This live view looks toward Mont Fort, the high peak above the Verbier ski resort in the Swiss Valais. It is useful for checking snow, cloud and visibility on the mountain before you head out. The page also shows local time and the forecast for the valley.
Verbier sits in the Val de Bagnes, a Swiss Alpine valley in the canton of Valais, at an altitude of about 1,500 metres. It is best known as a major winter resort with a large network of lifts and runs, and it has a lively village atmosphere in both winter and summer. Mont Fort, at roughly 3,328 metres, rises above the resort and marks one of the highest points reachable by lift in the area.
The camera is aimed at a high mountain summit, so the view depends heavily on cloud, snowfall and light. Clear mornings usually give the sharpest views of the peaks, while afternoons often bring cloud build-up. In winter, fresh snow and wind on the summit are the things most worth watching; in summer the rock and glacier edges tend to stand out more.
Verbier is most popular from December to April for skiing and from June to September for hiking and mountain biking. Winter days are cold at altitude, so forecasts matter more than in the valley below. Nearby cameras at Les Attelas, Medran and Tracouet in Nendaz show other slopes and help you compare conditions around the region.
