This live stream looks out over Brundage Mountain, a ski resort in the mountains of west-central Idaho. It is a useful place to check snow and sky before heading up or planning a trip. The camera is run by the resort and embedded here with a link to its source.
Brundage Mountain sits at roughly 2,320 metres in the Idaho mountains, not far from McCall and the shores of Payette Lake. The area is known for its steep, mostly north-facing terrain and for its snowy winters, which draw skiers and snowboarders from across the Pacific Northwest. In summer the surrounding forests and open slopes turn green and quiet, and the mountain becomes a base for hiking and scenic drives.
As a mountain view, the stream is best for judging conditions on the slopes: fresh snow, cloud cover, fog moving over the ridgelines, or clear skies after a storm. Mornings often offer the cleanest light for seeing the terrain, while late afternoon can bring shadows across the runs. Weather changes quickly at this altitude, so the view may look very different within an hour.
Winters are cold and snowy, with the ski season usually running from December into spring. Summers are warm and dry, with cooler evenings at elevation. Brundage is reached by road from McCall, and nearby cameras on this site, including the mid-mountain lodge and Tamarack Resort, offer additional views of the surrounding area.
