Starbase - SpaceX Starship - Vue multiple
πΊπΈ Texas Β· United States β Altitude 3 m
This live stream follows the SpaceX Starship test and launch site at Starbase on the Texas coast near Boca Chica. It gives a wide look at the pads and hardware from a fixed vantage point, so you can check whether the site is active before you watch for longer. The page also shows local time and the weather forecast for the area.
Starbase sits on the flat, low coastal plain of South Texas, close to the Mexican border and the mouth of the Rio Grande. The site was built by SpaceX to develop and test its Starship rocket and Super Heavy booster, and it has grown into one of the best known rocket testing grounds in the world. The landscape is dominated by sand dunes, coastal scrub, lagoons and open sky, which gives the facilities a stark, industrial look against the horizon.
The camera shows a multiple view of the site, so the picture is best understood as an overview rather than a close shot of one object. Activity is most likely during daylight, when work on vehicles and ground systems is easiest to see, and during test campaigns, which tend to bring more visible movement. Clear, calm weather usually gives the best visibility, while coastal haze or low cloud can soften the view.
South Texas has a hot, humid summer and mild winters, with the strongest winds often coming from the Gulf. Spring and autumn are generally the most comfortable seasons for being outdoors on the coast. Nearby on VizCams you can also open the Sentinel Cam, the Nerdle Cam at the launch pad, the Rover 2.0 Cam over the launch complex, and a Brownsville view of the site.
