This live stream looks out over the Starship launch pad at SpaceX Starbase on the Texas Gulf coast. It suits anyone following the test campaign or curious about how the site looks between flights. The page adds local time and current weather beside the stream.
Starbase sits on the flat, sandy coastline near Boca Chica, close to the Mexican border and the city of Brownsville. The area is dominated by dunes, salt flats, scrub and wide open sky, with the Gulf of Mexico just to the east. It has grown from a remote beach site into SpaceX's main development and launch base for the Starship rocket, which gives the landscape an unusual, industrial character.
The title names the Starship launch pad, so the view is centred on the pad and its surrounding infrastructure. Activity tends to pick up around static fires, rollouts and launch preparations, which are announced irregularly, so quiet periods are normal. Early morning and late afternoon light usually makes the steel structures and the coastal horizon easiest to make out.
The Texas coast is hot and humid in summer, with frequent afternoon storms, and milder conditions from late autumn to spring. Access to the immediate area is restricted, so the camera is the most practical way to follow the site. Nearby cameras on VizCams include the Brownsville SpaceX Starbase view, the Rover 2.0 launch complex camera, the Sentinel Cam and a multi-angle Starship view.
