Innsbruck - Seegrube - vue vers le sud
🇦🇹 Tyrol · Austria — Altitude 1945 m
This camera sits at Seegrube, a mountain station at about 1,945 metres above Innsbruck in Tyrol. It shows the southward view from the ridge, so you can judge cloud cover, snow and visibility over the Alps before planning a trip up. The live player below updates while the stream is online.
Seegrube lies on the mountain range rising directly above Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol and one of the best-known winter sports cities in the Austrian Alps. The area is reached by cable car from the Hungerburg district and is a classic starting point for hiking on the Nordkette ridges. The landscape is steep, rocky and forested in its lower parts, with open alpine meadows higher up. The city below is often visible in the valley, framed by the surrounding peaks.
Because the view faces south, it is mainly useful for watching the mountain weather as it builds over the Inn valley and the higher Alpine chain beyond. The scene changes most with the time of day, the season and the weather: clear mornings tend to give the sharpest distances, while afternoon clouds often gather over the peaks. In winter the snow cover is the main feature, and in summer you can follow the haze and thunderstorm build-up typical of the region.
Innsbruck has a continental mountain climate, with warm summers and cold, snowy winters. Summer is the usual time for hiking, while winter brings skiing on the nearby slopes. Mountain conditions can change quickly, so check the local forecast shown on this page before setting out. Nearby cameras on VizCams include Hafelekar, Hungerburg and an Innsbruck city view, which help you compare conditions from the valley to the ridge.
