Wendelstein - Gare d'arrivée - vue plongeante vers le sud-ouest
🇩🇪 Bavaria · Germany — Altitude 1724 m
This live camera looks down from the arrival station of the Wendelstein, a mountain above the Bavarian Alps. It is useful for anyone wanting to judge the mountain weather, cloud cover and visibility before planning a walk or a trip up. The live player updates with the source's own stream.
The Wendelstein is one of the best-known peaks of the Bavarian Alps, rising to about 1,724 metres near the Austrian border. It lies in the Mangfall range south of Bayrischzell and is famous for its wide panoramas over the Inn valley, the Chiemgau hills and, on clear days, the distant Alpine chain. The summit is reached by a cog railway from the valley or by a cable car, which makes it popular with walkers and day visitors.
The view is aimed south-west from the high station, so it takes in the mountain terrain and the valley beyond. Conditions change quickly up here: morning often brings clearer air, while afternoon clouds can build over the peaks. Watch around sunrise and sunset for the best light on the rock faces, and check the live weather block before assuming the summit is visible.
Summer and early autumn, roughly June to October, are the most reliable months for walks and clear views, while winter brings snow and skiing on the lower slopes. Mountain weather can change within an hour, so bring warm layers even in summer. Nearby, you can also check the cameras at the south-east view from the same station, Bayrischzell and the Sudelfeld, and the Hocheck near Oberaudorf.

The live weather block on this page shows current conditions at the camera location together with a 3-day forecast. Because the summit is high, it is often cooler and windier than in the valley, so check it before you go up.
The page shows the current local time for the camera, which is in Bavaria and follows Central European time. The clock updates live alongside the stream.
The camera is at the arrival station on the Wendelstein, in the Bavarian Alps near the Austrian border. It looks south-west over the mountain terrain and valley.
