This live stream looks out over Dingboche, a high-altitude village in the Everest region of Nepal. It is a place many trekkers reach on the way to Everest Base Camp, and the feed lets you follow the mountain conditions from a distance. The page also shows local time and the current weather with a three-day forecast.
Dingboche sits in the Imja Khola valley at roughly 4,370 metres, surrounded by stone-walled fields and some of the highest peaks on Earth. It is known as a stop for acclimatisation on the trail to Everest Base Camp, and its farmland is worked with barley, buckwheat and potatoes in the warmer months. The landscape is open, dry and very bright, with the high ridges dominating the skyline.
Because the title names a mountain village rather than a specific peak, the feed should be read as a general view of the valley and surrounding slopes. Depending on the angle, you may see snow on the ridges, cloud moving through the valley, or the trail traffic below. Mornings are often clearer before cloud builds up in the afternoon, and winter views tend to show the most snow cover.
The area has a cold, dry climate with strong sun, and temperatures drop sharply after dark even in summer. Spring and autumn are the usual trekking seasons, when skies are most stable. Reaching Dingboche usually means a multi-day walk from Lukla or Namche Bazaar. Nearby cameras on this site include Lobuche, Gorakshep and Khare, which show other points along the same route.
