This live stream looks over the Arapahoe Basin ski area in the Colorado Rockies, one of the highest ski resorts in North America. It is useful for checking conditions on the mountain before you travel or deciding whether to head up for the day.
Arapahoe Basin sits at roughly 3,290 metres above sea level on the eastern side of the Continental Divide, a short drive west of Interstate 70 from Denver. It is known for steep, exposed terrain, a long ski season that often runs into late spring, and a strong local following of skiers who value its direct, uncrowded feel. The surrounding peaks are bare rock and snowfields for much of the year, giving the area a stark alpine character.
Depending on the view, the stream may show slopes, lift lines, snow cover and the weather moving across the ridges. Mornings often bring the clearest sky before afternoon clouds build, which is useful to know when judging visibility. In winter and spring, changes in fresh snow and wind are easiest to follow, and you may notice how quickly conditions shift at this elevation.
The climate is cold and dry, with heavy snowfall in winter and short, cool summers. Mid-winter and spring are the main seasons for skiing, while summer and early autumn suit hiking and sightseeing when the access road is open. Nearby places you can check on VizCams include Keystone, Dillon, Frisco and another Frisco view, all within roughly 9 to 21 kilometres.

The current conditions and a three-day forecast are shown in the live weather block on this page. Because the area is high and exposed, temperature and wind can differ a lot from Denver.
The local time for this location is displayed on the page and updates automatically. It follows Mountain Time, the same zone used across the Colorado region.
The camera overlooks the ski area at about 39.64 degrees north and 105.87 degrees west, and the map on this page marks its position in the Colorado Rockies.
Mornings tend to offer the clearest views before cloud builds, and the season from winter to late spring shows the most snow activity. Check the page at different times to compare conditions.
