Propriano - Port

This live camera looks over the harbour of Propriano, a small port on the Gulf of Propriano in southwest Corsica. It is useful if you want to see how the water and boats look before planning a trip or a day on the coast. The page also shows local time and the weather for the town.
Propriano is a small town on the west coast of Corsica, set around a sheltered gulf with a working fishing and leisure harbour. The surrounding countryside rises quickly into maquis scrubland and mountains, and the town is often used as a base for exploring the southwest of the island. Its pace is relaxed, and much of its life revolves around the water and the seafront promenade.
As the title names the port, the camera is aimed at the harbour area, so you can expect to follow boat movements, the state of the water and how busy the quay is. Activity is usually greatest in the morning when fishing boats head out and in the late afternoon and evening when leisure craft return. Calm, clear days give the best view of the water, while wind can make the sea choppy, which is worth checking on the weather block.
Propriano has a mild Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild, wetter winters, and the late spring and early autumn months are often the most pleasant for visiting. The nearest airports are Figari, about 26 km away, and Ajaccio Napoléon Bonaparte, about 28 km away. Other cameras nearby include the Ajaccio harbour and the Ajaccio panorama, which give a broader view of the coast.
