Seiseralm - Punta d’oro
🇮🇹 Trentino-South Tyrol · Italy — Altitude 2000 m
This live camera looks out over Seiseralm, the high alpine plateau above Seis am Schlern in the South Tyrol Dolomites. It is a useful place to check how the mountain looks and what conditions are like before heading up to the meadows. The page also shows local time, current weather and a map.
Seiseralm, known in Italian as the Alpe di Siusi, is one of the largest high alpine meadows in Europe, lying at roughly 2,000 metres. It sits beneath the Sciliar and Langkofel massifs, with rolling grassland, scattered farm huts and dramatic rock towers on the horizon. The region is part of Trentino-South Tyrol, where Italian and German traditions blend in food, language and architecture.
The image title points to a viewpoint called Punta d'oro, so the picture is likely to focus on the open meadows and the surrounding peaks rather than on buildings. Views are most interesting in the morning, when light falls across the slopes, and in late afternoon when shadows lengthen over the grass. Cloud often gathers around the peaks in summer, so the view can change quickly within a single hour.
Summer and early autumn are the main seasons for walking, while winter brings snow and cross-country skiing. Days can be warm while the high plateau stays cool, so layers are sensible. Nearby cameras on the same network include Compatsch, Spitzbühl, the Florianlift mountain station and Puflatsch, which together help you compare conditions across different parts of the plateau.
